"When They Saw the Star..."
The Magi - or Wise Men - were Gentiles. They weren't raised in a land that was awaiting the Messiah, yet they are the ones known for intently searching for Him. All they wanted to do was worship Him. All they wanted to do was bring their gifts to Him and bow down in acknowledgment of His Kingship. But what brought them to that point? His star.
The Lord knew what would draw one who was on the outside. He knew what would get attention and be a sign for the lost to find their way to Him. He chose a star.
Many long to be stars in our world today. In effort to have their names in lights, they use their gifts to draw the masses to themselves. What if we dared to be stars to draw the masses to the King?
"Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever." Daniel 12:3
Why not shine with the glory of God within you and draw people to Him? Why not be a sign that the Lord uses to show people the way to find Him?
There are those seeking the Truth. They want real. They want to worship Him; they just don't know how to get there.
I challenge you to shine and lead the way.
Father, I want to lead people to You. It's not about us getting the glory, but about giving you the glory You alone deserve. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Matthew 2, Daniel 12:3
