One Piece at a Time
I have written something, but just completely erased it...on purpose. Not that it was a bad idea, and not that it won't be the topic of devotion another day. I honestly feel like it was on my heart for a reason, but perhaps that reason was not so that it could be typed out for you today.
Yes, I am just pulling back the curtain and letting you in on how it feels when I don't have a clue what He wants me to write. Only that I know He wants me to write. Have you ever been there? Maybe not a writing situation, but knowing that the Lord wants you to do something - and you have no idea where to start. I have learned just to start.
He is looking for faith, not talent. He is looking for willingness, not perfection. He is looking for you to be ready to do whatever He says when He says it. Will you? Even when you don't have a clue?
It seems that more often than not I am in that place of not having the full blueprint of what He wants...and then only receiving a portion at a time as I step forward in it. I challenge you today: step forward with the piece of the puzzle that you have in your hand. You may not see the full picture yet, but don't wait until you do to get started. It is probably not gonna happen like you thought it would.
Walking by faith is just that. Faith. Keep stepping forward in what You know He has given you. He will reveal what you need right when you need it.
Father, You crack me up how You want me just to trust You, one step at a time. So I will. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
