Freedom and captivity have been on my heart this morning. This may seem short and not so sweet, but it seems a topic that doesn't need sugar-coated and handled with flowery words. I declare freedom to the bound this morning.
How many of us are children of God whom the enemy has taken captive to do his will? How many of us have given our lives to the Lord, but also are still held in bondage to issues and addictions that we cannot seem to shake on our own?
If this applies to you or someone you know, I speak this with no connotation of condemnation. I long to see chains loosed and prisoners set free. I long to see the enemy's hold on sons and daughters of God broken. Freedom isn't just about you. It is about all those that the enemy is keeping you from reaching by tying your hands.
There is no shame in admitting that you need help in stepping out of certain prison cells. I challenge you to recognize what holds you bound in certain areas...then do whatever it takes to get freedom. The blood of Jesus and the power of His Spirit are more powerful than any chain, prison cell and captor that comes against you.
Fight for freedom!!!
Father, I ask You to reveal the chains that we are so accustomed to in our lives that we don't recognize them anymore. Jesus came to set us free...so I pray that Your will be done. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
